Horizon Hobby LLC is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Marketplace Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our presence and performance across various online marketplaces [e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, internal platform, etc.]. You will leverage data to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for growth, and provide actionable insights that directly impact on our sales and profitability. Typical pay for this position is $45,000-$55,000 annually. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Marketplace Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across all designated marketplaces, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, advertising spend, and profitability.
- Data Extraction & Manipulation: Extract, clean, and organize large datasets from various marketplace platforms and internal systems.
- Trend Identification: Proactively identify emerging trends, market shifts, competitive activities, and consumer behavior patterns that impact marketplace performance.
- Pricing & Promotion Recommendations: Develop and recommend data-backed pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize sales and margin.
- Advertising Optimization: Analyze marketplace advertising campaign performance (e.g., Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands) and provide recommendations for optimization to improve ROI.
- Inventory & Fulfillment Insights: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure efficient fulfillment, leveraging marketplace data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create clear, concise, and compelling reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to align marketplace strategies with overall business objectives.
- Stay Up to Date: Continuously monitor changes in marketplace algorithms, policies, and best practices.
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within an e-commerce, marketplace, or retail environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), Google Sheets.
- Experience with marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, Walmart Seller Center, eBay Seller Hub) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with business intelligence/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce metrics and their drivers (e.g., conversion rate, ACoS, RoAS, OOS).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
