About The Role
As a Process Engineer at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency by optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring high-quality output. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
You will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop best practices, recommend facility and equipment improvements, and implement innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is detail-oriented.

About The Role
As a Process Engineer at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency by optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring high-quality output. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
You will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop best practices, recommend facility and equipment improvements, and implement innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is detail-oriented.
What You’ll Do
- Develops best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Ensures the effective implementation of process design practices to meet internal and customer needs, from inception to start-up and validation.
- Establishes productive working relationships with manufacturing and maintenance personnel to foster the free flow of ideas.
- Plans and implements project schedules in a timely and effective manner.
- Justifies, budgets, and tracks Capital Expenditure projects.
- Assesses processes, takes measurements, and interprets complex data.
- Creates and maintains process documentation and operating instructions.
- Travels occasionally (up to 10%) to assess equipment or participate in customer issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic, mechanical, or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience interpreting complex mechanical or electro-technical drawings.
- Strong ability to work within tight deadlines and operate productively with others.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD/Inventor.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and communicate complex information effectively.
- Adaptable and composed under pressure, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a safety-minded approach.
- Experience with VB and Siemens/AB PLC programming.
